Plan your first stock
Start with a focused range, then let sales guide your next refill.
Choose a small opening range
Match products to the site’s users and the machine’s slots. Check packaging dimensions, storage requirements and product information.
Ask about preferences, dietary needs and price expectations. Use an initial mix you can afford to revise instead of buying deep quantities of untested products.
Buy and store carefully
Record pack quantities, unit costs and expiry dates. Include delivery costs and minimum order quantities when comparing suppliers.
Check the local handling, labelling and storage requirements for your products. Rotate stock by expiry date and keep damaged products out of the machine.
Review the first refill
Record what sold, what remained and any failed vends. Compare each product’s selling price with its landed cost.
Adjust quantities and range gradually. Keep enough working cash for the next stock order while investigating slow sellers.
