Assess a potential vending location

Collect evidence before committing to a site.

Understand the people and their routine

Ask about occupancy, shifts, visitors and opening days. Footfall alone does not tell you how many people will buy.

Look at competing shops, cafés, free drinks and staff facilities. Ask the host what people currently request and which products would be welcome.

Check practical conditions

Measure the proposed space and delivery route, including doors, stairs and lifts. Confirm suitable power and any water or drainage needed for the chosen equipment.

Confirm refill access, parking, security and who can grant entry. Record unknown conditions so they can be resolved before installation.

Agree terms

Discuss rent or commission, power costs, damage, cleaning, fault response, exclusivity and removal. Record the duration and how either party can end the arrangement.

Mark a site as secured only when the host has agreed terms. Keep the agreement and local professional review separate from your planning checklist.
