Machine buying checklist

Compare new, used and financed equipment with useful seller questions.

Match the machine to the site

Check dimensions, capacity, product sizes, refrigeration needs and the available power. Ask whether the machine can support the payment methods your customers expect.

Compare upfront purchase, used equipment and finance or lease quotes. Record term length, maintenance responsibilities, ownership and exit costs.

Inspect before paying

Ask for the model, serial number, service history, keys and manuals. Inspect doors, seals, locks, dispensing mechanisms and refrigeration where relevant.

Test several products and payment methods, including failed-vend handling. Confirm that payment hardware can be transferred and activated with your own provider.

Plan service and delivery

Check parts availability, repair support, warranty exclusions and what delivery includes. Get written confirmation of condition and included equipment.

Record it as a planned machine first. Create the operating record once you have purchased it and can supply its asset tag and installation details.
